NY COMICCON 2006
Went to this incredibly crowded event. Saw a lot of terrific artists, big names in the industry. Tons of merchandise, lots of folks in costume. It had a great energy. The people there were so into it and i really enjoyed that. Heard some great speakers and learned some good info. The downside was- it was too crowded. Had to stand inline just to get into the door for almost 2 hours. Whew I was beat. Lots of people being interviewed by news papers and t.v. I took just a few pics. One was of stormtroopers and Boba Fett but some clown bumped me as I shot the pic and of course, they were gone so no repeat. Also one of a ugly doll character that was walking around and a pic of the showroom or what i could see from where it was taken. See you in Philly for June con.

Snowing here tonite. Thought I'd post a few things that are not related other than being sketches. I always like seeing an artist sketchbook and want to put my stuff out there as well. I'd like to publish my own book of drawings and sketches and see what the response would be. Anyways, here is a Batman cover sketch. A drawing of two characters called Street and Jasmine Shade that I have been throwing around a bit and some ink/marker portraits- for the hell of it.

New Portfolio Image: Clown CD Cover
I worked on this Clown over the course of a month I guess. Just doing a little here and there. I love the textures and coloring on this, especially the red hair on left side.

BLOG! BLOG! BLOG!
Welcome to the visual blog of artist and illustrator:
A.J.CASPERITE
I wanted to try and post a continual diary of ideas, sketches, comps as well as finished illustrations. I always love looking at artist's sketchbooks. I love the rawness of the work and to see what the their thinking process is like.
Anyhow, welcome and feel free to comment and any questions, I will try to respond as quick as I can.
I also post work at my online portfolio:
